About the neighborhood

Little Caribbean is home to the largest and most diverse Caribbean-American-Latine community outside of the West Indies. It is also home to 20% of the Caribbean-American-Latinx community of New York City. Located on the corridors of Flatbush, Church, Nostrand, and Utica Avenues, Little Caribbean is a place where to people, restaurants, and small businesses come together to share social and cultural histories, living legacies, and futures.

Eat + shop + lime

In 2017, Shelley Worrell of caribBEING spearheaded the movement to name the neighborhood Little Caribbean. caribBEING amplifies this thriving community where West Indians live, work, and play and celebrates the rich history of the Caribbean Diaspora in New York City.
